Maschek zapped through the ORF program again this week and the “Tuesday Night Chapel” is dedicated to the first song requests from the “Welcome Austria” audience – the best conditions for an unforgettable Tuesday night! The Dacapo of the new cabaret format “Maschek” is on the program at 11 p.m., followed by “Reiseckers Reisen” in Berlin at 11:35 p.m.

With 44 international goals, Toni Polster is the Austrian national team’s record goalscorer and a legend on the football field. He played in 95 international matches and has been the coach of Vienna Viktoria since 2011. He demonstrated that he also cuts a good figure in other disciplines in the ORF show “Dancing Stars”, in which he danced his way to the final in 2005. On March 10th, the indestructible Toni Polster celebrates his 60th birthday, and in the ORF documentary “Away from the Penalty Area” (on Wednesday, March 6th, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1), the top scorer returns to important places in his life back: to the municipal building, where he learned to play football, to Seville, where he celebrated his greatest successes, and to Cologne, where he was discovered as an entertainer. In the “Welcome Austria” talk, Toni Polster also gives insights into his illustrious career and reflects on the exciting highlights of his time as a player and coach – of course not without his legendary insults.

Birgit Minichmayr, a multi-award-winning actress, is coming to the Marx Palast. The long-time ensemble member of Vienna’s Burgtheater has taken on the title role in Josef Hader’s new film “Andrea Gets a Divorce”, co-financed by ORF as part of the film/television agreement, and in it he brilliantly conveys the sadness of an unhappy marriage in the sleepy Austrian province. In the middle of Vienna, however, is Heldenplatz, to which Thomas Bernhard dedicated the play of the same name and where Minichmayr is currently on stage in a Burgtheater production by Frank Castorf. Before the cinema premiere of the film “Sleeping with a Tiger” on April 12th, in which she will be seen in the role of the Austrian artist Maria Lassnig, the Nestroy Prize winner chats with Stermann and Grissemann about her numerous current film and theater projects .
