Dialogue with Lower Austria LGA for equality for private providers

Steinach am Brenner (ots) –

Due to reports on unequal treatment of freelance nurses in Lower Austrian clinics, nursing Network® turned to the Lower Austrian State Health Agency (LGA). Reports showed that discharge managers only suggested non -profit providers such as relief organization or Caritas, which systematically excluded private providers.

Constructs dialogue

A phone call between nursing Network® Managing Director Thomas Maximilian Lener and the LGA brought clarity: The interlocutors showed solution orientation and agreed to let the past rest and to shape the future. The LGA assures that freelance and non -profit providers will be treated equally in the future.

Key to equal treatment

Freelancers can enter the “Social Info” at the GS5 department – without selection. Entered freelance nurses appear together with non -profit providers neutrally on lists for patients, without preselection.

Learning organization

The LGA uses the “continuous improvement process” (KVP) for quality and development. An anonymous information system enables quick intervention in cases of unequal treatment.

Role model for Austria

These measures promote transparency, quality and innovation in the care sector. Freelance nurses, equally qualified as non -profit providers, ensure needs -based care – a wake -up call and model for all federal states.
