For reliable diagnostics, barrier-free communication is required, among other things, since successful and, above all, quality-assured communication is a central element in healthcare. The reasons for failed communication are very diverse. A common reason is the language and communication barrier.
But even on the part of the healthcare staff, the treatment of non-German-speaking patients is often difficult due to communication barriers that arise and endangers the safety of employees. Professionally overcoming language barriers has been proven to increase patient and employee safety and reduce liability risks.
