CRIF Austria appeals: The supply chain law can be implemented from a technical perspective. The CRIF platform SYNESGY represents supply chains globally.
Vienna (OTS) – The adoption of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), also known as the EU Supply Chain Law, appears to be shaky. Some EU member states, including Austria, fear that implementation would only be possible with great effort, which in turn would endanger their competitiveness. “Technology already exists to map and evaluate global supply chains. CRIF has been successfully using this worldwide since 2020
“, explained Boris Recsey, Managing Director of CRIF Austria. The law requires companies to ensure that their supply chains are free from human rights violations and climate-damaging practices. “The feared bureaucratic burden is more than manageable with the right technology. Fear of this must not jeopardize this important law. We appeal to politicians and Federal Minister Martin Kocher to approve the proposed law. We invite all skeptics to convince themselves that technology strengthens companies here.

SYNESGY: Global ESG platform for evaluating and certifying supply chains
CRIF launched the ESG platform SYNESGY in 2020. Using over 140 parameters specified in a company self-assessment, the platform evaluates the supply chains and their sustainability and presents them transparently. Thanks to the automatic invitation management and the data that CRIF provides, the administrative effort is reduced supply chain evaluation is low. The platform is available globally, enabling the visualization and evaluation of complex global supply chains. An internal rating agency certifies the level of sustainability of a company or its supply chain. The use of SYNESGY is free for all companies in the first year; Further certification, which is due every 12 months, costs 200 euros. “Costs and resources must not be obstacles to implementing such an important law
“, concludes Recsey away. SYNESGY is already being used successfully by numerous international companies, including the international aviation company FACC.
