More than 350 footballers and their fans from around 15 nations met for the in-house football tournament organized by Europe’s largest creditor protection organization
Vienna (OTS/Test) – On May 31st, Vienna was transformed into the stage for one of the largest corporate soccer tournaments in Europe: the CrefoCup. Creditreform employees from over 15 nations came together in the Austrian capital to play for the coveted CrefoCup championship trophy.
The CrefoCup, which has been an integral part of Creditreform’s corporate culture since 2004, celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. Every year, many of the approximately 160 branches, which operate in 22 European countries and China, meet at different venues to play for the internal championship title. But this year the CrefoCup was something very special: it not only celebrated its 20th anniversary, but also marked the international debut of the event. For the first time in the history of the tournament, it took place in Vienna at the Sportcenter Donaucity in front of the international backdrop of the UNO City.
On this occasion, numerous teams – from the “Alpine Ballet” to the “Lights of the North” to the “Blue Mix Group”, women’s, men’s and mixed teams – competed under the eyes of Dr. Holger Bissel, President of the Association of Associations Creditreform eV, took part, all of which had the goal of taking home the coveted challenge cup. This international participation underlines the importance of the tournament and the extensive networking of the Creditreform group of companies. The game management was in the trusted hands of the stadium announcer from Austria Vienna, Wolfgang Slavik.
But the CrefoCup is much more than just a sporting competition. The event offers employees a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, network and, above all, have fun together in a relaxed atmosphere. The friendly and collegial spirit that has always characterized the tournament is the focus and ensures that the event remains a highlight in the Creditreform calendar every year.
The team “Blue Mix Group” from Hamburg emerged as winners in the final of the CrefoCup 2024 against the “Stuttgarter Kickers”. The award ceremony took place at the Allianz Stadium in Rapid Vienna. The local player and coach legend Peter Stöger He didn’t miss the opportunity to stop by the tournament and present the coveted challenge cup.
