“Continuing to put off vaccinations is not a solution”
Vienna (OTS) –

Senior Citizens’ Association President Ingrid Korosec is disappointed with the outcome of the meeting between federal, state and social security representatives on the subject of vaccinations: “Unfortunately there are no solutions.” Regarding the expansion of the public vaccination program, the only thing that is said is: Vaccinations in question will be available in the coming months scientifically evaluated and financially assessed. At the same time, discussions with the vaccine manufacturers are planned. “There would have been enough time for prioritization. Above all, a free shingles vaccination is urgently needed. I will continue to fight for it. The older generation is mainly affected by this disease. Only a vaccination offers protection. And it currently costs 500 euros per person,” says Korosec.
