Lower Austrian Employees’ Association: Communities support, create a home and shape the future
On the occasion of the municipal council elections on January 26th, the Lower Austrian Employees’ Association (NÖAAB) underlines the immense importance of the municipalities for the quality of life and the social structure in Lower Austria.
“We can proudly say that the Lower Austrian Employees’ Association provides the most mayors and numerous local councilors in Lower Austria. 252 mayors – 42 women and 210 men – as well as 2,577 committed local councilors from the NÖAAB district are the backbone of our communities. They provide support in turbulent times, create a home and actively shape the future in the communities and thus also in our country. Our youngest mayor – Stefan Schröter – is 29 years old, the oldest is 77 years old. From young to experienced people, our community is diverse and strong,” said NÖAAB state chairwoman Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister.
“The communities are the core of our society: they are the place where community is lived, where cohesion is created and where solutions to the challenges of the future are found. Our NÖAAB mayors do outstanding work – be it in childcare, nursing and care, in the area of infrastructure or in promoting regional economies and jobs,” said Teschl-Hofmeister.
“Thank you for devoting your heart and mind to helping people and facing the challenges of the times. Your commitment to Lower Austria makes a real difference. We wish you all the best and much success for the upcoming local council elections,” emphasizes Teschl-Hofmeister.
“The commitment to a strong, vibrant Lower Austria remains our common goal. With our combined efforts, we will continue to work to shape our communities as places of security, cohesion and opportunities for all generations,” concludes Teschl-Hofmeister.
