The owners of the house criticize the noise as annoying and continually report violations of regulations and requirements. Excitement about recycling sorting system: What rights do the residents have?
A facility is being built in Sollenau in Lower Austria in which more than 110,000 tons of waste from the “yellow bags” will be sorted each year in the future. Residential houses in the neighboring community of Blumau-Neurißhof are only 300 meters away as the crow flies. The residents were surprised by the construction project because, despite their geographical proximity, they have no party status. They fear even more traffic, noise, fine dust and stench. The operators of the waste sorting plant take part in a studio discussion with the mayor of Blumau-Neurißhof.
