Only about every second child has care in kindergarten that enables the parents to work full-time. This emerges from Statistics Austria’s first monitoring report on elementary education presented on Tuesday. There are big differences depending on the age of the children and the federal states. The so-called VIF conformity (family and work compatibility indicator) is by far the highest for places in Vienna, and lowest in Upper and Lower Austria.
