The start coincided with the 28.59 millionth vehicle, which ran off the assembly line at Changan, and marked an important milestone in the company’s international expansion.
ChangAn Automobile (“Changan” or “The Company”), an intelligent technology company for low -carbon mobility, officially opened its first international production facility for New Energy Vehicles (NEV) in Rayong, Thailand, which integrates sustainable, low -carbon and flexible production as well as intelligent digital systems with a focus on efficiency, costs and quality. The start marks an important milestone for Changan in its international manufacturing structure and brings advanced, intelligent manufacturing capacities to the Thai automotive industry.
The opening of the Changan factory in Rayong marks a new phase of the “Vast Ocean Plan”, which shifted from product export to industrial globalization. It shows the potential of the company in global expansion in the areas of products, intelligent production, brand formation and green, digital innovation.
As a central production center, the plant has five intelligent workshops – including welding, painting, general and motor assembly as well as battery – with a 90%automation of the most important quality control stations, which is one of the highest in the Thai auto industry. The factory has energy -saving and environmentally friendly features that are in line with the goals of green development. A 14 MW photovoltaic system will deliver 45 % of the system of the system. Circulation towers, blinds, natural lighting and rainwater recycling will reduce energy consumption for lighting and ventilation, improve water efficiency and reduce energy costs by an estimated 5 %.
Changan has introduced an innovative and flexible production system to reduce the manufacturing costs and produce high -quality vehicles efficiently. The welding workshop is equipped with 39 robots and advanced material connection methods such as FDS, EPS and SPR, which offer greater strength than conventional connection techniques. In the paint shop, 29 robots and advanced spraying processes are used to extend the lifespan of the paints to 15 years and to reduce emissions by 40 %, while the assembly line includes 140 stations, including 18 full and 125 semi-automatic units. Technologies such as the automatic sealing setting and AGV vehicles enable production with several models and services. The energy workshop supports engine and battery production, including the ultra-precise adaptation of motor tiles and visual instructions for 22 battery processes. Fifty-forty-five AGVs form a flexible, fast-reaction and transport system.
As a digitally oriented work, Changan uses a full-stack digital ecosystem with a microservice architecture for a 100 % online-based company. The entire manufacturing process is planned in real time, which improves the coordination of the supply chain and shortens the delivery cycle from 21 days to 15 days. The Changan Quality Operating System (CAQOS) ensures comprehensive quality management for supply parts, vehicle production and market services. During production, 77 surveillance cameras and 62 fail -safe control points are used, which creates 71 quality control processes to ensure consistent quality in parts, production and market services.
For the future, Changan has set itself the goal of localizing 80 % of the production in his work in Rayong, creating 30,000 jobs and promoting low -carbon growth as well as the development of talents for Thailand’s green change. As a hub for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Changan is positioned and plans to sell more than 5 million and 3 million vehicles with new energy worldwide by 2030. Over the next three years, the company will launch 12 new energy models and expand the AI functions. A new spare parts center in Rayong will support the right-wing steering markets with 24-hour deliveries.
“After 556 days of the engagement of more than 2,000 employees and partners around the world, we have built a work that is efficient, modern and intelligent,” said Shen Xinghua, Managing Director of Changan Automobile Southeast Asia Business Unit. “We have a long -term vision. Together we will help to design a cleaner, more intelligent and stronger automotive future – in Thailand, for Thailand and for the world.”
