CCI Global expands its presence in Kenya with the  million Tatu City Call Center

Tatu City, Kenya (OTS/PRNewswire) CCI Global, Africa’s leading outsourcing company, proudly announces the opening of its Tatu City Call Centre. This new five-story building in Tatu City, the 5,000-hectare special economic zone just outside Nairobi, represents a $50 million investment in Kenya’s BPO industry. At the commissioning of the CCI Tatu City Call Center by HE The President of Kenya, Dr. William S. Ruto, CCI announced the construction of a second CCI building in Tatu City and committed to doubling the number of CCI Kenya call center employees to 10,000. These positions span a wide range of roles, from call center agents to management positions, cementing Kenya’s status as a leading hub for business process outsourcing.

The launch of the CCI Tatu City call center took place during the prestigious Elevate Africa Conference, a three-day event in Tatu City that brings together industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders from around the world. The Elevate Africa Conference has the motto “The Next Chapter of Innovation” and serves as a central platform for visionary discourse and collaboration in the BPO industry.

Sustainability in Buildings – Kenya’s largest call center runs on 96% renewable energy

The new five-story Tatu City contact center in Kenya, designed by GREA was developed as part of the ENEO development, , is powered almost entirely by 96% renewable energy – with solar panels, natural air corridors and self-shading walls to almost completely reduce the Co2 emissions associated with the call center’s energy production and consumption. The new facility won two awards from The African Property Awards and received EDGE Green Building and Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA) certifications for environmental stewardship.

The construction of CCI Tatu City had a social development focus involving a female construction team, Buildher – a non-profit social enterprise in Kenya that provides recognized construction skills to disadvantaged young women and offers stable jobs in urban development projects in Kenya. A group of 30 women worked on site during the construction and furnishing of CCI Tatu City, setting a new benchmark for women in construction in Africa.

The Buildher Project aims to bring financial prosperity to Kenyan women, change men’s attitudes and promote gender equality in the African construction industry. The Buildher project is operated by CCI Tatu City developer Gateway Real Estate Africa.
