On August 10, CATL celebrated the opening of NING Space, the world’s first new energy experience center in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Developed in collaboration with a number of automakers and the local government, NING Space will provide consumers with an innovative, immersive experience to “view, select, use and experience” electric vehicles that will facilitate the global transition to electric mobility.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Li Ping, vice chairman of CATL, said the mindset of the automotive industry and consumers is undergoing a sea change as the global energy transition takes place. CATL, in collaboration with car manufacturers, has established a new platform designed to bridge car manufacturers and consumers to promote innovation and shared success.
Luo Jian, general manager of CATL’s marketing department, reported that the space, with its characteristic features of “perfection” and “innovation”, helps automakers present their vehicles in an effective manner, makes it easier for consumers to choose the right car and promotes a low-carbon one lifestyle advertises.
As the world’s first electric car brand pavilion, the 13,000 m² complex houses almost 100 models from around 50 car brands and offers consumers a very extensive car show with a complete collection of the most popular car models.
The EV experts are available to answer questions and provide customized recommendations that address consumers’ needs, budgets and usage patterns. The room also provides insight into the history and development of electric vehicles and showcases the latest innovative battery technologies. Scientific workshops also take place here regularly, where users of all ages can experience and research green energy and electric vehicles.
CATL also introduced the customer service brand “NING SERVICE” at the opening ceremony. With a network of 112 professional service stations and a robust training system, NING SERVICE provides high-quality services such as battery maintenance, battery health check and electric car roadside assistance, ensuring a worry-free experience for electric vehicle users.
To further improve user experience and expand service offerings, CATL launched a WeChat mini program on the same day. The mini-program is aimed specifically at users of electric vehicles and offers services such as finding charging stations, exploration, support in choosing and tips on using electric vehicles, as well as scientific workshops on the topic of new energies. By using online channels, CATL provides electric car users with efficient, practical, high-quality and multi-dimensional services.
