This is really no longer normal,” criticized FPÖ general secretary NABG today. How can you throw almost 50,000 euros out of the window for two days? This is no longer to be beaten.”
The other expenses of the ÖVP Chancellery would have little to do with “saving in the system”. Conference tables with chairs were bought by almost 40,000 euros. In January 2025, the failed short-term ÖVP Chancellor Schallenberg visited the Jägerball and offset the taxpayers for a good 1,100 euros. Schnedlitz: “Of course, politicians are free to visit balls – but then they should also finance it from their own pocket.” Incidentally, the opera ball visit to Nehammer was billed with over 9,200 euros-this high sum was also not tolerable.
Finally, 8,787 euros were spent on the production of 1,000 pieces of the government program. Schnedlitz: “Unfortunately, this program continues to lead to the abyss – a shame about the money. Austria could have needed it well.”
