At the general meeting on November 23rd, 2024, the voluntary board of the Austrian Cancer Aid under the presidency of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Paul Sevelda was unanimously re-elected for the term of office 2024 – 2027.
The Presidium of the Austrian Cancer Aid for the functional period 2024 – 2027 consists of:

Vice President: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Florentia PEINTINGER (for the term of office 2024-2025)

“I would like to thank you for your trust and promise, together with my colleagues on the board and the presidium, to continue to work with full commitment to all concerns that serve the prevention and early detection of cancer and the improvement of the living situation of cancer patients and theirs relatives and the promotion of cancer research,” said Sevelda in his acceptance speech. Sevelda emphasized that he would seek a conversation immediately after the appointment of a new health minister in order to present the current cancer aid concerns and demands and hopes that the traditionally good cooperation between cancer aid and those responsible for health policy will continue.
