Discussion forum “Experienced Nature” in the Lower Austria Museum in St. Pölten

St. Pölten (OTS) Wild animals must be able to move freely in order to access suitable habitats and find food and mating partners. This is the only way to preserve a diverse range of flora and fauna. Thanks to numerous initiatives, intensive conservation efforts and action plans to connect habitats, wild animals are returning. Originally non-native animal species such as the golden jackal are also spreading throughout Europe. At the Lower Austria Museum in the “Haus für Natur” in St. Pölten on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6:30 p.m., moderator Manfred Rosenberger will discuss this with Jennifer Hatlauf from the Golden Jackal Project Austria at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and Christian Übl, director of the Thayatal National Park exciting developments in Austria.

At 5 p.m. Ronald Lintner, scientific director at the “Haus für Natur”, will give a fitting tour of the new special exhibition “Animally Mobile! Nature in motion.” Those interested can observe over 40 living animal species in the “Haus für Natur”. The “Haus für Natur” and the special exhibition are open exclusively on April 9th until the start of the event at 6:30 p.m. The event ticket is also valid as an admission ticket from 5 p.m.; the guided tour is included in the price. The entry price is five euros (online tickets www.museumnoe.at/erlebtenatur), with the Museum Niederösterreich annual ticket, entry is free. The discussion forum “Experienced Nature” meets the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Meetings. A climate-friendly and comfortable journey by public transport is recommended.
