“This budget is also shaped by consolidation and further development of the location. The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure under Minister Hanke makes an important contribution to this. All departments are jointly used to consolidate the budget and to do the right thing for Austria,” emphasizes ÖVP-Finanzlokrante Andreas Ottenschläger. It is clear that necessary infrastructure projects – such as investments in rail transport of around 3.2 billion euros annually or as invested by ASFINAG 2025, are not neglected to the expansion of the road network. “Investments in the infrastructure remain at a high level and are crucial for Austria,” says Ottenschläger, who also refers to the ÖBB framework plan 2025 to 2030 with regard to the mobility transition, which includes around 20 billion euros. In contrast to the term of office of the Green Transport Minister Gewessler, this is now reduced to a realistic extent, and the rail projects already under construction are being built.
There is now an adaptation of the transformation initiated by GEWESSLER “with measure and goal, in which budgetary necessities as well as infrastructural and mobility -related requirements play a role”. This sometimes shows through movement with important gaps in the overarching road network. Otenschläger: “The Greens have given ideology about the work of the sense of the population-and that with ‘fairy tale stories’. For example, it is simply not true that the waiver of the Lobau tunnel would contribute 6.4 billion euros to consolidate the budget.” This only arises from the nature of ASFINAG as a outsourced company. The preservation and expansion of highways and expressways is financed by the users-by the car vignette and the truck toll-and not by taxpayers. “So there is no impact on the budget here,” says Ottenschläger.
The ÖVP MP also makes it clear about the statements of the Green Mandatars Schwarz: “This budget is a budget with a view of the future. ‘Headlessly’ only colleague Schwarz acts with his accusations. This federal government with Chancellor Christian Stocker at the top has started with a lot of commitment and will. La Greens to drive a wedge between the different road users, ”concludes Ottenschläger. (Ending)
