Vienna (OTS) – Former Chancellor and President of the Austrian Constitutional Court Brigitte Bierlein has died at the age of 74. The Red Cross is deeply saddened by the death of the woman who helped shape the strategic direction of the Austrian Red Cross for two years as chairwoman of the Independent Policy Commission.
Red Cross President Gerald Creator emphasizes: “Brigitte Bierlein was a woman of utmost integrity who, in her role as chairwoman, devoted herself to important strategic issues of our organization on a voluntary basis. Her work was characterized by a sense of duty, utmost commitment and a deep connection to the rule of law. Your contribution to the future of the Austrian Red Cross will not be forgotten!”
