BMW Group in Austria achieves strong increase in registrations of fully electric vehicles in a challenging market environment.

Salzburg (OTS) –

The BMW Group in Austria registered 20,801 BMW and MINI brand vehicles last year. The company thus continues to secure its first place in the Austrian premium segment and continues its good performance from the previous year with an increase in registrations of 3.2 percent in a challenging environment.

The BMW Group is recording significant growth in the fully electric vehicle segment. In 2024, 7,831 fully electric BMWs and MINIs were registered in Austria – an increase of 24 percent compared to the previous year. The reasons for this result, which defies the general BEV market, are an attractive, new BEV portfolio and highly sought-after financing offers from the BMW Group: around 60 percent of these vehicles were financed through BMW Financial Services and Alphabet Fleet Management.

“Our performance on the Austrian market remains consistently high. We have clearly aligned our product portfolio with openness to technology – that’s what our customers want and we deliver it too. Together with BMW Financial Services, we were able to provide our customers with innovative leasing offers for fully electric vehicles, thus enabling them to enjoy driving from a single source. Despite a volatile market environment in 2024, we were able to further expand on our very good result from the previous year. Our incoming orders are also at a very good level – this makes us look confidently into 2025.”says Alexander Bamberger, CEO BMW Austria, classifying the results.
