Vienna (OTS) – In “Finance Friday”, the Ministry of Finance’s podcast, two top “financiers” talk about money, God and politics in two episodes: Finance Minister Magnus Brunner invited Bishop Benno Elbs to the conversation. Elbs is not only a bishop, but also chairman of the Finance Commission of the Austrian Bishops’ Conference since 2021. The two people from Vorarlberg discuss the meaning and popularity of taxes and church contributions, the social and cultural significance of the church, provide insights into their respective tasks and talk about similarities and their favorite saints.
The first of the two episodes is already available online, the second episode will appear next Friday, May 24, 2024.
About “Finance Friday”
Every Friday, Finance Minister Magnus Brunner hosts “Finance Friday” and speaks about current topics relating to the world of business and finance. Since the launch of the Ministry of Finance podcast in September 2022, almost 90 exciting episodes have already been recorded. In mid-March 2024, the Ö3 editorial team selected the 20 most popular podcasts from Austria with the help of an external jury. “Finance Friday” prevailed against more than 1,300 competitors and reached 15th place.
