BM Schumann, City Councilor Hacker and Caritas Director Schwertner for hospice and palliative care in Austria
Vienna (OTS) –

For many decades, there were too few offers in the hospice and palliative sector for too many people who were dependent on professional support at the end of their life. The hospice and palliative-fund law decided in 2022 should now gradually change this for the positive. The law represents the basis for a regular-financed and comprehensive expansion of hospice and palliative offers across Austria- and this expansion is now absorbed. The most recent example: The opening of the inpatient Caritas Hospices with 16 places for incurable people in Vienna-Liesing. In a press conference in the new premises, Federal Minister Korinna Schumann, City Councilor Peter Hacker and Caritas Director Klaus Schwertner comment on the current expansion in the hospice and care sector.

At the appointment there is also the possibility to conduct interviews with those affected and their affiliations and affiliations.
