Blessing of the Symbia Pro-specta X3 SPECT/CT device

The new Symbia Pro-specta X3 SPECT/CT device was ceremoniously blessed in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Brothers of Mercy Hospital yesterday. This state-of-the-art device represents a significant advance in radiological and nuclear medicine care and opens up new possibilities for the diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases such as cancer and inflammatory rheumatism. The blessing received prominent recognition from Alexander Nikolai, district leader for the 2nd district.

An important step in medical care

The new Symbia Pro-specta X3 SPECT/CT device combines capabilities and functions that integrate both radiology and nuclear medicine. This fusion makes it possible to create high-resolution, three-dimensional images and thus make more precise diagnoses and take therapeutic measures. “Our new device brings advantages, especially for patients, by simplifying the processes. We are proud and grateful that we can offer our patients even more precise and gentle treatment and thus take a further step towards holistic and modern patient care,” explains Prim. Dr. Christian Neumann, MBA, Head of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Hospital of the Brothers of Mercy Vienna.

Blessing as a sign of hope and healing

The blessing of the device, which took place as part of a solemn ceremony in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, was carried out by Brother Thomas Pham OH, sac., Prior of the Brothers of Mercy Vienna. This follows a long tradition at the Brethren Hospital. “The blessing of this instrument is a symbolic act that strengthens the connection between modern medicine and our belief in healing. “We see technology not only as a tool, but also as a way to serve people and support them in their healing process – in accordance with our Christian values,” explains Brother Thomas Pham in conclusion.
