After the very strong election results for the FPÖ Lower Austria in the state elections in 2023, the sensational election successes in 2024 and the strong gains in Burgenland in the still young year of 2025, one could also follow the honest path of hope and confidence that Herbert Kickl has been following at the federal level for years into the Lower Austrian communities. “People want change, they feel that we do freedom politics for the people and not for positions or maintaining power. We are there exclusively for the citizens and not for their mayors like other parties,” Landbauer continued.
The FPÖ was able to more than double its share of the vote and achieve its historically best result from 1995 (Anm.: 8,22 %) significantly exceed. For example, in the municipalities of Amaliendorf-Aalfang (from 2 to 7 mandates) and Traiskirchen (from 3 to 8), five mandates each were won; in Wölbling, the FPÖ gained four mandates straight away.
