Hamburg (ots) – The international distributor Biesterfeld and the leading manufacturer of technical plastics Celanese are expanding their collaboration at the turn of the year. Both partners have agreed to expand the joint portfolio and also want to develop additional markets together.
Expanded distribution rights in the EMEA region
Biesterfeld continues to have exclusive distribution rights for the Rynite® PETP, Selar® PA, Zytel HTN® PPA and Santoprene® TPV product families in most of the EMEA region. The cooperation between the two partners will be significantly strengthened in the countries of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland and the Baltic states, where the distributor will be selling the materials mentioned for the first time in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark with the exception of Santoprene® TPV will distribute non-exclusively. The same applies to the Middle East and Israel – in South Africa, a mutually exclusive cooperation has been decided on the products listed.
The future non-exclusive sales rights for the products Crastin® PBT, Hytrel® TPC and Zytel® PA will also be supplemented by the complementary product families Celanex® PBT, Celanyl® PA, Ecomid® Rezyklat-PA and Frianyl® PA, for which Biesterfeld has new sales rights throughout the EMEA region.
Tynex® filaments are also new to the joint portfolio. The distributor will now receive exclusive distribution rights for them throughout the EMEA region.
Joint growth in Southeast Asia and Brazil
The joint expansion into the ASEAN region will continue: To this end, a new exclusive agreement has been reached for the Santoprene® TPV product family. In Brazil, too, the previously valid distribution rights are now being supplemented by the complementary product families.
