Skidata is pleased to announce that the access system Smove was awarded its characteristic wave element at the Red Dot Design Award 2025 with the highest award “Red Dot: Best of the Best”. The renowned price recognizes smoves innovative mechanics and excellent user comfort – a modern, contactless alternative to hubs.

The Red Dot Award has been one of the internationally leading design competitions since 1955. This year, an independent jury from 43 experts judged: inside from 21 countries over 10,000 submissions.

Entry newly thought: welcome instead of queue

The Smove Gate transforms entrance areas into comfortable zones with intuitive access and high throughput. The wide, barrier -free design also enables access with strollers, ski equipment or wheelchair – without any outside help.

The focus is on the soft wave shape – a modular, slim component that combines security, aesthetics and durability. SMove meets the highest security standards and is compatible with barcode, QR, RFID, NFC, Bluetooth and facial recognition.
