IWS and Eurochambres President Christoph Leitl congratulates the Linz scientist Friedrich Schneider
Linz (OTS) – “We congratulate our scientific director Univ.-Prof. Dr. “Friedrich Schneider, who was listed as the best Austrian in the DACH ranking of the most influential economists,” says Eurochambres President Dr. Christoph Leitl, who also heads the Upper Austria Business Location Initiative (IWS).
With the help of ETH Zurich, Handelsblatt and Wirtschaftswoche surveyed 4,685 economists in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) from universities, research institutes and banks (ECB or Deutsche Bundesbank) in the fall for their research work – life’s work, i.e. all publications anonymously Trade journals – surveyed and evaluated. Schneider was the only scientist from Linz to make it into the top 50 as the best Austrian, namely in 39th place. Two Viennese scientists are also still listed – in places 40 (Josef Zechner) and 49 (Gerhard Sorger).
“An objective and international proof of the excellent methodology, transparency and acceptance of the scientific work of the Upper Austrian research personality Friedrich Schneider,” emphasizes IWS CEO Gottfried Kneifel.
