Anyone who willingly gutted a project of this size, play out any credibility both when it comes to relocating heavy traffic on the rails and in relation to European cooperation.” The Freedom Members therefore called for an immediate intervention by the Austrian Federal Government, as well as a clear signal by the EU Commission that such a broken contract cannot remain without consequences. “SPÖ Transport Minister Hanke is now urgently challenged to hit the table-in Berlin and in Brussels.”

Ranzmaier also warned of political diversion maneuvers that are supposed to put Tyrol under pressure: “As long as Berlin consistently refuses to fulfill its part, the idea of ​​a debate about loosening in transit restrictions is already completely absurd.
