Baumit Austria has been relating to sustainable fuel since the beginning of 2025: the entire truck and car fitting park as well as the diesel-powered conveying machines have been converted from conventional diesel to hydreated vegetable oils (HVO). This renewable fuel is produced entirely from waste, fats, vegetable residues and vegetable oils. By using HVO, up to 90 percent of CO2 emissions and over 30 percent fine dust particles can be avoided compared to fossil diesel fuel.

E-charging stations from the 3D concrete printer
At the Baumit location in Wipfing, some new “structural landmarks” can be admired: The devices for charging electric vehicles were printed on site by the Baumit Bauminator. The columns, which consist of individual layers of about half a centimeter thick layers, are “printed current petrol stations”: “The 30 e-loading points offer our employees: Inside an-also optically-attractive charging option for the e-car company fleet ”, explains Manfred Tisch, technical managing director of Baumit GmbH.
The result can not only be seen, but also weighed: “If we had built the column in solid construction, it would have a weight of 600 kg. adds Manfred Tisch.
Sun power from the roof of the Baumit wet products in Wotsping
The roof of the wet products in Wopfing has been supplying around 350 MWh of electricity with its 1030 photovoltaic cells since 2021 and also saves around 120 to CO2 a year. Since then, the Friedrich Schmid Innovation Center, the adjacent Viva research park and now also the e-charging stations for the E-company vehicles of Baumit are supplied with this solar power.
