Vienna (OTS) – In the current edition of the ORF night talk “Stöckl” on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:05 p.m. on ORF 2, rock ‘n’ roll legend Peter Kraus and presenter Mirjam Weichselbraun will be guests.
“Peter Kraus is childhood for me,” enthuses presenter Mirjam Weichselbraun about the singer and actor and sings a duet in the night talk “Stöckl”. “Mirjam is a friend,” says Peter Kraus about the presenter, whom he already knows from short encounters.
The musician shaped the 1950s and 1960s as a rock ‘n’ roller, and Mirjam Weichselbraun achieved her breakthrough on German-language television in the early 2000s. But the two audience favorites have more in common than their success in the spotlight.
With “The Flying Classroom” Peter Kraus landed his first leading role in a film in 1954 and later won the hearts of young people with his songs. In a conversation with presenter Barbara Stöckl, the musician talks about the dark side of fame and what strokes of fate have made it difficult for him to make music.
The world of pop stars is no stranger to Mirjam Weichselbraun either. As a young presenter, she made a name for herself on the music channels VIVA and MTV before becoming one of the most famous presenters in Austria. In the night talk “Stöckl” she also reveals why she never watches shows that she hosts herself.
In a joint conversation with Barbara Stöckl, the two also talk about, among other things, the loss of loved ones, leaving home and growing older in public.
