The “Star Night at Lake Neusiedl” on ORF ON
Tradition and innovation are the motto this year for the streams from the “Starnacht am Neusiedlersee”: tradition, because of course the ORF is making the music event available again this year as a live stream and video-on-demand for PCs, laptops and smartphones. Innovation, because the streaming service is being provided for the first time via the new platform ORF ON (on.ORF.at). What is also new is that the event will now be offered as video-on-demand for 30 days, meaning it will be available to fans for significantly longer than before.
Service for people with hearing and visual impairments
The ORF broadcasts the “Starnacht am Neusiedler See” in a fully barrier-free manner on ORF 2. For deaf and hearing-impaired viewers, subtitles are available on ORF TELETEXT on page 777 and on ORF ON. In addition, the music show for the blind and visually impaired audience will be provided with live audio commentary by Juliana Kühberger and Sebastian Kaufmann. This acoustic image description can be heard by switching to the second sound channel (TV set) and to ORF ON (stream). The barrier-free programs are available on ORF ON as video-on-demand.
