The construction industry, which is so important for Austria as a location, is under massive pressure: high energy prices, high wage costs, falling orders and new credit regulations are leading to a sharp drop in sales. In addition to the construction industry, related industries such as the wood industry and suppliers are also affected.
Economic Chamber President Harald Mahrer is therefore inviting people to a working discussion on Monday with top representatives of the construction social partners and the affected sectors. We will then invite you to a press point where we will inform you about the results and necessary measures to stimulate the construction industry.
