Media campaign by the Socialist Youth on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holidays

Vienna (OTS) – “The Christmas holidays are always portrayed as particularly sensual and peaceful. For many women, this is out of the question. During the holidays, women are statistically much more likely to be affected by physical and psychological violence.
Especially during the holidays, politicians are called upon to finally address the issue of protection from violence with the seriousness that the issue needs!” says Fiona Schindl, women’s spokesperson for the SJ.
To clarify this concern, the SJ is organizing a media campaign on Tuesday. The media campaign depicts a “destroyed” Christmas to highlight the increasing violence against women during the holidays. Representatives of the media are warmly invited.
