Vienna (OTS) – The Center for Radiation Oncology and Radiation Therapy at the Donaustadt Clinic offers high-precision radiation therapy at the highest technical and medical level. With this precise irradiation, a very high radiation dose can be used. For example, a lung tumor only requires one session instead of the previous 30.
The radiation center at the Donaustadt Clinic has now been awarded Novalis certification. The Donaustadt Clinic is, alongside the Medical University of Krems, only the second radiation center in Austria to have received this certification. In 2025, around 500 patients are expected to be treated with high-precision radiation therapy at the Donaustadt Clinic. The board of the Vienna Health Association and the management of the Center for Radiation Oncology and Radiation Therapy at the Donaustadt Clinic will provide information about the details at a press event.
This will be followed by a tour including demonstrations of the radiation center.
The following people are available to you as conversation partners:
- Michael Binder, Medical Director of the Vienna Health Association
- Lothar Mayerhofer, Medical Director of the Donaustadt Clinic
