The Orban model has destroyed Hungary’s liberal democracy and restricted the rule of law and human rights. While Herbert Kickl and the entire FPÖ are emulating Orban with their increasingly extreme demands, the ÖVP and SPÖ are not positioning themselves clearly enough and are leaving the possibility of FPÖ participation in the government open.
