On Friday, September 13, 2024, Protect Our Winters Austria is organizing the first round of discussions by all environmental speakers from the parties currently represented in the National Council at the Umbrüggler Alm in Innsbruck. Discussing: Carina Reiter (ÖVP), Rene Zumtobel (SPÖ), Alexander Gamper (FPÖ), Lukas Hammer (Greens) and Michael Bernhard (NEOS). The conversation will be moderated by Katharina Rogenhofer. The questions are asked by representatives of the mountain sports community, including Roswitha Stadlober (President of Ski Austria), the alpine clubs and the mountain rescue service. Musician Hubert von Goisern and climate researcher and Nobel Peace Prize winner Renate Christ are also expected as guests. Following the conversation, there will be an unusual cattle drive to the Hungerburgbahn mountain station at 4 p.m.

Protect Our Winters brings together different generations, economic actors and political opinions. Together with well-known mountain athletes and accompanied by a brass band, ambitious climate protection is called for and people are called upon to take part in the National Council elections – for a future worth living in the Alpine region.
