Social workers and social educators play an essential role social coexistence. But the conditions under which they work make their work difficult. With the support of the ÖGB and trade unions and the Austrian Professional Association of Social Work (obds), the AK carried out a survey on working conditions, stress and wishes for politicians. This shows that working conditions are deteriorating, the pressure is increasing, and the understaffing is reaching alarming proportions. Due to project financing with very short terms, many professionals do not know whether they will have a job in the long term. You can find out more about the results and the demands of AK and obds:
