The Austrian journalist Club (ÖJC) starts on October 15, 2025 together with the bfi Vienna a unique part -time certificate course on the subject of “peace journalism”.
The aim of the course is to further develop journalistic skills in dealing with conflicts, war reporting and peace promotion – with a practical, ethically sound curriculum, the current global political developments and the role of the media differentiated.
Wars, polarization and information crises shape the world – and with it our everyday journalistic life. In times of global tensions and increasing disinformation, the question of responsible reporting is more current than ever. This is exactly where the ÖJC appears as an intermediary.
The new course offered online is aimed at journalist: inside, correspondent: inside, NGO communicator: inside, press spokesman: interior and students who understand the media not only as an information channel, but as a tool for dialogue and communication.
The participants conclude with a certificate from the BFI Vienna and a diploma of the ÖJC. The Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University, USA, as a distance learning university, offers the graduates to upgrade the course to a Bachelor of Research (B.res.).
