Austrian Family Association welcomes new online platform to strengthen fathers

Vienna/St. Pölten (OTS) “The social media and online campaign presented today by Family Minister Susanne Raab, which is under the hashtag #papasein, focuses on the active father role and aims to expand society’s perception of father roles. “This initiative makes fathers’ desire to spend time with their children visible,” says Family Association President Johanna Jachs.

What is particularly pleasing is the addition of a new information platform to this campaign on the Federal Chancellery website. Under the link www.bundeskanzleramt.gv.at/themen/papasein.html Comprehensive information is provided on the legal framework, financial support services and other relevant topics.

“The results of the recently conducted father survey by the Austrian Family Association show that fathers want to spend more quality time with their children. 97% of respondents said that time with their children is important to them. The Federal Chancellery’s campaign is an encouraging step towards equal and cooperative parenthood. Empowering fathers and their creative opportunities is not only beneficial for families, but also for society as a whole. The Austrian Family Association fully supports this initiative and looks forward to continued positive developments in terms of the perception of fatherly roles in our society and improvements in freedom of choice, emphasizes Jachs.”
