Advertising expenses reach a new record high with around 7.8 billion euros

The new Austrian advertising market study 2025 of Österreichische Post AG again offers an independent and unique overview of expenses and trends in the domestic advertising industry. With an increase of five percent, domestic companies invested more in advertising last year than ever before: the total expenditure of around 7.8 billion euros marks a new record high. In this year’s special part, the Austrian advertising market study is devoted to influencer marketing, which recorded the largest expenditure plus (+35 percent) of all advertising channels.

The Austrian advertising market study of the Post illuminates every year, how domestic companies advertise and how different advertising channels are perceived by consumers. It was carried out in January and February 2025 and provides valuable current insights into the areas of classic advertising, dialog print, dialogue online and activities with an event character as well as in this year’s special part also into influencer marketing.
