More than 10,000 people were reached through educational discussions in Nigeria and Afghanistan
Vienna (OTS) – As part of research projects in Afghanistan and Nigeria, studies were carried out with the aim of optimizing existing measures and creating perspectives in the countries of origin in order to prevent illegal migration.
In addition to the measures already taken, more than 10,000 educational discussions about the risks and realities of illegal migration were carried out as part of the research projects and the population was also informed about them via social media.
With these projects, among other things, Austria is already fighting illegal migration in the countries of origin and is trying to create prospects so that people do not end up in the hands of smugglers. The fight against illegal migration and smuggling mafia requires a package of measures, both repressive and preventive.
