A film from the Burgenland State Studio highlights the creation and 30-year development of the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park.
Eisenstadt (OTS) – The TV documentary in the “Österreich-Bild” series on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 6:25 p.m. on ORF 2, highlights the fascinating history of the creation of Europe’s first cross-border national park.
Designer Andreas Riedl and cameramen Max Pehm and Stefan Lentsch take viewers on a journey through time and show the crucial moments that led to the founding of the national park and shaped its development to this day.
You can see rare historical images and insights into the eventful history of the national park, which is known for its unique flora and fauna as well as its breathtaking landscape. The film documents the early efforts of conservationists, the challenges of founding and the ongoing efforts to preserve this unique ecosystem. Those who were significantly involved in the founding and maintenance of the national park, long-time employees of the national park, scientists and people who live in and from the national park will have their say. The interviews offer an authentic and emotional insight into the work and commitment behind preserving this natural jewel.
