Eisenstadt (OTS) – On the occasion of the Burgenland cabaret gala, which starts on June 27, 2024 at Burg Güssing, the designers of the documentary “Cabaret stronghold Southern Burgenland – (K) a Burgenländer joke” visited all the artists performing there. In the series “Experience Austria” on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 4:25 p.m. on ORF 2, Lukas Resetarits, Thomas Stipsits, Eva Maria Marold and Christof Spörk get to the bottom of Burgenland humor, the southern Burgenland attitude to life and of course Burgenland humor .
Can you still make politically correct jokes about minorities today? What distinguishes Burgenland humor from Viennese humor, and why are so many artists drawn to the picturesque southern Burgenland? The “spectacle speaker” and organizer of the cabaret gala at Burg Güssing is Andreas Vitasek, who has lived and worked in southern Burgenland for several years and his career began here. Chauffeured by his long-time friend and manager Georg Hoanzl, they went from tavern to tavern. Today Georg Hoanzl from Kukmirn runs one of the largest entertainment agencies in Austria. In the artist village of Neumarkt an der Raab, the two remember their beginnings and the “good old days”.
