“At the Scene” report about the tough everyday lives of Alpine emergency services, which is a television hit as an action series

“The Mountain Rescuers – Series and Reality” on June 27th at 9:05 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF ON

Vienna (OTS) “Our operations in normal life are also dangerous, but things are a little slower and with less action,” explains Heri Eisl from the Ramsau mountain rescue service. He and his colleagues have been accompanying the filming of the TV action series “The Mountain Rescuers” for many years – starting in June every Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF ON. They secure the actors in the mountains or step in as doubles in dangerous scenes.

The television series is a hit with audiences in Germany, and now the ORF has also included the successful series in its program. Thousands of fans come to Ramsau every year to get to know the actors and the original filming locations at the “Bergretter Fan Day” or the “Fan Hike”. This is an image boost for the 13,000 volunteers of the Austrian mountain rescue service, says Heri Eisl. The real mountain rescuers are required in some hotspots. More and more people are flocking to the mountains – sometimes without the right equipment or preparation.

For the “Am Schauplatz” report “The Mountain Rescuers – Series and Reality” – to be seen on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 9:05 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF ON – Beate Haselmayer looked at the hard everyday life of the mountain rescuers and was there during the filming of the successful series in Styria.
