Heavy travel traffic heading south; Activists blocked the A 10 near Hallein for an hour
Salzburg/Vienna (OTS) – As expected, Whit Saturday brought particularly heavy travel traffic heading south. A long backlog formed in front of the construction site area, especially on the A 10 Tauern motorway, and from 10.30 a.m. activists also blocked the motorway near Hallein for just over an hour.
ASFINAG activated additional staff to supply those waiting in traffic jams with water bottles that had been stored as a precautionary measure in the Salzburg motorway maintenance department. Four employees from Salzburg and Golling were deployed to provide support.
