Ernst Fuchs, co-founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism and an artistic all-rounder, was also a confirmed fan of the British cult car brand Rolls-Royce. The car brand accompanied him for many decades and on thousands of kilometers of road, and now the last Rolls-Royce he bought, which Ernst Fuchs owned until his death in 2015, is being auctioned. You can already bid and the winning bid will take place on November 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.
“The proportions of this car amazed my father”
The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith model, first registered in 1955, is going under the hammer. “Of the many Rolls-Royces that my father drove in his life, this Silver Wraith was his absolute favorite Rolls-Royce. The low windshield, the curved fenders and the way the rear is laid out – my father was impressed by the proportions of this car,” says son Tillmann Fuchs. “It is not easy for us to part with this rolling work of art. That’s why we hope he finds a new home with a real Silver Wraith lover.”
Starting price 40,000 euros
The starting price for the iconic Rolls-Royce with almost 90,000 miles is 40,000 euros, and the first bids have already been received. A valuation report from 2015 confirms that the vehicle has a replacement value of almost 80,000 euros. In addition to the cult car itself, the highest bidder will also receive a VIP package for ten people with a champagne reception and VIP tour of the Ernst Fuchs Museum in Vienna.
