Included, among other things “Rome, open city” , “The Swindlers” and “The Tin Drum”.

“Dicte – The Untouchable” is a crime series by the author duo Dorte Warnøe Høgh and Ida Maria Rydén. The focus is on a complex female character: the tough investigative journalist Dicte Svendsen, played outstandingly by the Danish actress Iben Hjejle. Arte.tv broadcasts the three seasons of the crime series, in which Dicte’s research awakens painful memories in her.

The war in Ukraine presents the European Union with acute geopolitical challenges. The crises are increasing and the escalating Middle East conflict is putting a strain on the cohesion of the 27 member states. The documentary shows how work is being done to defuse the crisis in the background, far away from the media hype. It follows the everyday life of Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and his team in the European External Action Service (EEAS) and provides insight into the Union’s complex diplomatic machinery.

ARTE viewers can look forward to a large line-up of stars at the hotspots of the summer opera stages this year: Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Ermonela Jaho and Benjamin Bernheim enchant with their singing in productions by well-known directors such as Dmitri Tcherniakov, Claus Guth and Andrea Breth – and this against the impressive backdrop of the Salzburg Festival, the Aix-en-Provence Opera Festival and the picturesque St. Mark’s Square in Venice.
