On April 27, 2025, Belvedere invites you to the Open House from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers a diverse program with free admission. Visitors can expect a day full of art, film and performance with guided tours through the current exhibitions of Hans Haacke and Maria Hahnenkamp, performances by Claudia Bosse and Ursula Langmayr and a screening with work from students from the University of Applied Arts Vienna in mind.
At 2 p.m. the catalog becomes last year’s exhibition Dog Days Bite Back presented by Oliver Ressler. The exhibition gathered cinematic and photographic works that address various dimensions of the climate crisis in its economic, political and social complexity. Ressler talks to curator Luisa Ziaja about his artistic examination of these topics.
A varied program is offered for families: children and adults can let off steam in the open studio, during the workshop Good news from all over the world With Minitta and Melanie Kandlbauer in a playful positive stories from all over the world.
At 2.30 p.m., curator Stefanie Reisinger takes you through the large staff of Maria Hahnenkamp and gives insights into the artist’s work. With her performance, Ursula Langmayr brings an acoustic-body dimension into the exhibition space. At 3:45 p.m. there is an intervention by choreographer and artist Claudia Bosse and the cross -generational public performance school. Finally, “Schudini the Sensitive” Aka Susanne Schuda with “Open Mic-The Public Mikrophone” offers an open stage for text contributions and sound art, musically accompanied by Drummerin Aurora Hackl-Temón.
