ARMY heard! Armed Forces launches its own podcast

The first episodes of the new Armed Forces podcast “HEERhör” go on air on September 8th. The podcast offers listeners exciting and emotional insights into the everyday lives of Austrian soldiers and civilian employees. The first season starts with three episodes – with a look behind the scenes at Airpower24, with military pilots who talk about their everyday lives and with the risk picture for 2024. The other episodes offer insights into the fighter command, officer and non-commissioned officer training and large areas of the armed forces . Further episodes are scheduled to appear every two weeks.

Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner: “The Federal Army and its soldiers carry out important tasks every day and ensure the protection of Austria and its population. That’s why it’s particularly important that interested people have the opportunity to find out more about the armed forces – the new podcast ‘HEER hears’ ensures this. After much planning and preparation, the podcast can finally start – I’m looking forward to having many interested people listen in the future!”

The podcast covers the range of the Armed Forces in all areas of responsibility and responsibility. The team of moderators, Ute Axmann and Marcel Taschwer, speaks to all those who are ready to serve in Austria at any time – from military servants to generals, from pilots to pioneers. In addition to insights into the everyday work of soldiers and civilian employees, army experts provide analyzes on current security policy issues. The listeners are allowed to “hear” behind the scenes and have the opportunity to get to know and experience the armed forces better. A particular focus of the podcast is on career opportunities in the armed forces. The individual episodes are either in the form of interviews, casual conversations or reports. The recordings take place directly in the respective armed forces hotspots throughout Austria. This allows the listeners to immerse themselves even better in the lives of the soldiers.
