The anti-democratic conditions in Germany must be clearly rejected!
Dhe party MFG Austria – People Freedom Fundamental Rights expresses its horror at the events in Germany, which are unworthy of a constitutional democracy: According to current knowledge, the German Interior Minister Nancy Faden (SPD) autocratically and in defiance of the law banned the magazine Compact, against which There are no proper court rulings. All rights must come from the people – whims or preferences of individual politicians must not play a role.
“The way the German Interior Minister bends the law and apparently bans a magazine due to personal or ideological dislike is a process that cannot be tolerated within the European Union. The international community is committed to the rule of law and democracy. If this no longer means anything, this underlines the MFG party’s commitment even more to leaving such an alliance today rather than tomorrow,” states LAbg. Joachim Aigner, MFG-Austria federal party chairman and top candidate for the National Council election.

“It may be that the magazine Compact, which was banned in an unprecedented solo effort by a minister without any legal process and without a court order, contains problematic content. We do not know this content because we cannot know every medium in German-speaking countries. But for crimes such as incitement or calls for violence, as is alleged, there is criminal law and the possibility of legal action. In democracies it is not intended for ministers to be prosecutors and executioners at the same time; this contradicts every one of our basic principles. Even if this process took place in Germany, it must be massively criticized and legally combated. We are all witnessing how Hungary is currently being denounced for alleged anti-democratic tendencies. In fact, it is Germany where basic rights are repeatedly trampled on,” said Aigner.

The MFG party, which stands up without compromise for the rights and needs of people, for freedom and for the observance of fundamental rights without any ifs or buts, is appalled not only by the seemingly arbitrary ban, but also by the surrounding circumstances. On the one hand, there is the trick of applying the law so creatively that a company against which there is no legal action is essentially declared an association – but also the frightening fact that the state confiscates money and property from this company at various locations. In addition, the same attacks were committed against employees of this company, who were placed in a strictly forbidden family bond. All of these are processes that are familiar from dictatorships, but which have no place in a constitutional state. Aigner: “We consider not only the German Interior Minister, but the entire German government, which tolerates such activities, to be ready to resign.”

“The understanding of democracy in this German policy is generally a disgrace for Europe, as can also be seen from EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen,” Aigner continued. Her term of office and administration in various positions in Germany and Europe are marked by scandals, with one accusation of corruption following the next. She, too, has concluded billion-dollar deals with European taxpayers’ money via SMS, freely and without a political mandate. We in Austria do not want to be among the collateral damage that is caused by such a “German nature” – rather, the current policies of this country and its political representatives in the European Union are leading to a decay in Germany, which is also dragging other EU countries into ruin .
