ARBEITSSCHUTZ AKTUELL successful as an innovation trade fair

The Arbeitsschutz Aktuell ended after three intensive days in Stuttgart with an outstanding result. Under this year’s motto “Networking in occupational safety: Working safely now and in the future”, over 9,000 trade visitors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, over 230 exhibitors and numerous renowned speakers came to the light-flooded Hall 1 of the Stuttgart Trade Fair: inside, together to experience current topics and innovations in occupational safety.

Ministerial Director Michael Kleiner from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism emphasized the importance of professional occupational health and safety for companies in challenging times and emphasized the important contribution of Arbeitsschutz Aktuell to professionalization and dialogue in the industry.

A special highlight this year was the presence of well-known personalities: Ex-Bundesliga professional Nils Petersen gave the opening keynote and spoke about the importance of mental health and nutrition for long-term performance. Hollywood star Ralf Moeller presented the “Motivation Crafts” campaign in conversation with Andreas Grewe (Hans Schäfer Workwear) and discussed how crafts can be made more attractive for young people. As part of the BGM theme day, ski flying world champion Sven Hannawald gave personal insights into the importance of mental health in competitive sports.

Trade fair with new products and innovations

This year, the trade fair placed a particular focus on the topics of hazardous substance management and fall protection, innovatively implemented with two action areas by asecos and ZARGES. Of course, the trade fair offered a high density of innovation with a focus on personal safety, operational safety, traffic safety, company health management and ergonomics. “The Occupational Safety Current is the industry highlight of the year for us,” emphasizes Hendrik Schabsky, CEO of ATLAS Schuhfabrik GmbH & Co.KG. “We had many good discussions and of course also successfully presented our innovative health concept FIT-DAY® here.”

Expo stage and practical conference

Practical strategies and best practices on the topics of hazardous substance management and fall protection were presented on the Expo Stage. The practice conference, which takes place at the same time, debuted in Stuttgart with top-class experts, a strongly application-oriented program and valuable insights into practice. The conference was made possible with the support of the partners GIT Security (Wiley Verlag), Haufe, Security Engineer (Konradin), Offensive Mittelstand and WandelWerker. “I found the practical conference to be an enormous enrichment for the trade fair. Competent partners had put together a high-quality, practice-oriented program that met with great interest. The concept of combining the current specialist lectures with the trade fair visit and offering them free of charge represented great added value and should also be maintained at the next Occupational Safety and Health News in 2026,” emphasizes David Wiechmann, editor-in-chief of safety engineer and partner of the practice conference.

FASI Stage – with its own appearance for the first time

For the first time, FASI, the ideal sponsor of Arbeitsschutz Aktuell, presented itself with its own stage and lounge in the heart of the exhibition hall. “FASI prepared classic occupational safety topics such as work equipment and workspaces for the community in practical events. We were also able to exchange ideas about new challenges such as the effects of climate change on work and New Work. All topics that companies are currently dealing with have to and want to,” emphasizes Christoph Preuße, President of the Occupational Safety Association (FASI). “At the end, the theater interactively illustrated how an innovative approach to the topic of occupational safety can be successful,” says the FASI President.

Organizer satisfied with new strategy

Bernhard Klumpp, Managing Director of the HINTE Expo & Conference, draws a positive conclusion: “Our goal of aligning occupational health and safety centrally with the needs of exhibitors and visitors has been achieved. Visitor numbers have increased by 30 percent compared to the last In particular, the large density of decision-makers brought qualified leads to the exhibitors without wastage. The spatial integration of the conference into the exhibition hall was a complete success and networking was made even easier was also very positively received by the specialist audience.”

Next occupational safety current in 2026

The next Arbeitsschutz Aktuell will take place from October 20th to 22nd, 2026 at Messe Stuttgart. In the meantime, a whole range of face-to-face and digital events are being offered to the occupational safety community to meet changing market requirements and ensure industry dialogue.
