The connecting offices of the European Parliament in Germany and Austria invite you to the EU Summer Academy 2025! From August 4 to 7, 2025, committed young people between the ages of 16 and 30 meet from Austria and Germany in Passau in order to deal intensively with Europe, democracy and political education.
The EU is in a time of great global challenges – the war in Ukraine, geopolitical tensions and social changes make it clear how important an capable of action and solidarity is. The EU summer academy offers a platform to talk about these challenges and learn how the European institutions work. In addition, participants can get to know new methods to impart European political content and discuss current political issues with MEPs such as Hannes Heide.
Exchange, learning and community
The academy offers participants the opportunity to develop innovative projects, further develop existing initiatives and to strengthen their commitment to Europe sustainably. The concepts developed are intended to serve as practical blueprints that can be implemented directly after the academy. Interactive formats such as role playing in schools and universities ensure a practical examination of European policy questions.
Young people can exchange ideas with like -minded people and make valuable contacts. Passau, with its unique atmosphere as a three -fluid city, forms the ideal framework for this event.

The number of participants is limited to 54. The entire program – including accommodation and meals in Passau – is free of charge, only the arrival and departure has to be financed. Interested parties can apply for participation in the EU summer academy until April 30, 2025.
